How it’s done
Hanging straight, at the front of the swing, the flyer brings their feet to the bar, flexes their feet, and place their feet on top of the bar with the bar at the crook of their feet and ankles. This is easier to feel stable with bent knees. At the back end of the swing, the flyer straightens their knees and waits. Then, at the front of the swing, halfway up from bottom, the flyer releases their hands and opens their upper body to present for the catch, keeping their feet flexed. At catch point, the flyer points their feet to release the bar from their feet, as well.
