Static Trapeze

Also called Trapèze fixe

Static trapeze is an aerial discipline performed on a horizontal bar hung from two ropes. The artist climbs, sits, stands, hangs, and balances on the bar and ropes, moving through poses, rolls, drops, and transitions.

It builds strength, flexibility, and body control, and is one of the most common starting points in aerial training. Static trapeze can be technical and acrobatic or slow and expressive, and the same apparatus is used for solo, duo, and group acts.
