Hand Balancing
Also called Équilibres sur les mains
Hand balancing is an acrobatic discipline focused on balancing the body on the hands, from a basic handstand to one-arm balances, presses, and shapes held for long periods. It is often performed on the floor or on canes, raised blocks of different heights that can be built into a tower.
It demands strength, flexibility, patience, and extremely fine control of the shoulders, wrists, and fingers. Hand balancing is slow and precise by nature, and its power comes from stillness, line, and the gradual progression into ever more difficult positions.
