Aerial
Cloud Swing
Also called Corde volante
Cloud Swing is an aerial discipline performed on a thick rope hung in a U shape between two anchor points. The rope swings in large arcs, and the artist uses that momentum to fly through releases, drops, and catches with the hands, wrists, knees, or feet.
It combines the swing and timing of trapeze with the wraps and fluid lines of rope work. Cloud Swing is powerful and dynamic, and it demands strength and precise timing.
