Aerial Net

Also called Filet aérien

Aerial net is an aerial discipline performed on a large, loose net suspended in the air, either from a single point or stretched between several anchors. The artist climbs through the mesh, wraps limbs in it, hangs, rolls, and drops, using the net's give and shape to create poses and transitions.

Because the net can be gathered, spread, or opened up, it supports both intimate solo work and acts with several performers. Aerial net combines strength, flexibility, and spatial awareness, and is known for striking images that blend aerial technique with theatre.
