How it’s done
Sit on the bar holding the ropes with your hands at about ear height. Open your knees and straddle your legs out and around the ropes so they are on the outside, then cross your ankles in front of the bar. Your bent legs make the diamond shape, and the crossed ankles keep you on the bar.

Safety notes
The crossed ankles are what hold you on the bar, so keep them locked and keep your grip on the ropes until they are crossed. Try it low over a mat first.
